DIY Outdoor Shower Ideas
Outdoor showers remind me of holidays. This got me thinking. Could having an outdoor shower at home make me feel like I’m having a mini-holiday every morning? If there’s any truth in this madness, it’s worth trying it out! If you’ve been thinking of creating a magical outdoor shower in your garden or home, here are some DIY outdoor shower ideas to inspire you.
Simple DIY outdoor shower
The quickest and easiest way to whip up an outdoor shower = one tree + one hose + one shower head. Attach your garden hose to a showerhead. Here’s a video on how to connect a garden hose to a showerhead. For privacy, create a makeshift encloser using two hula hoops and some waterproof fabric. This trick also makes a fun tent for the kids.
Creative DIY outdoor shower
Create an outdoor shower using a can or bucket. A resourceful and creative alternative to a 5-star outdoor shower.
DIY outdoor shower with pallets and/or tin
Create an enclosure for your shower using old wooden pallets. These are easy to find and are usually given away for free! You’ll just need a handyman or woman with the tools to cut, nail and sand them for your encloser.
Nothing beats the water drops on tin! Calming and romantic. A little more handy work, but another cool DIY shower to consider is a corrugated iron and timber shower.
Freestanding outdoor shower
This couldn’t be easier to put up. Freestanding outdoor showers come in a range of sizes and styles. Most freestanding showers can be connected to a garden hose.
